Summing up Bears pre-season week 3

“Cutler and the rest of the starting offense were removed midway through the third quarter after failing to score on seven possessions that resulted in two picks, two missed field goals, two three-and-outs and one  kneel-down at the end of the first half.” This quote from the usually unrealisticly optimistic Chicagobears.com shows how bad it is behind the faux-line in Chicago. Start LeFevor next week so Cutler can heal. See you in Chicago vs. Detroit.

Chicago Celebrates 25 Years of Championships

25 years ago I was living in Chicago and watching the Chicago Bears begin their magical 1985 season. This was an amazing time to be a sports fan. The whole city cheered together and celebrated long before the Lombardi Trophy was in hand. No other city (or team) has been so arrogant as to record the Superbowl Shuffle before the playoffs began.  They went on to be the only team not to give up a single playoff score.

Chicago Bears Ranked #1 in Pre-season Power Rankings

The Chicago Bears got an A+ draft grade from me and now I am Ranking them #1 in the NFC North.

Cubs break 1905 streak – not that streak

CHICAGO — All-Star Marlon Byrd became the first Cubs player in 105 years to be hit at least 16 times in a season, and he came around on two-run homers both times.
