Why does ESPN hate the Chicago Bears?
Upon my discovery of ESPN’s Chicago themed sub-site, I was excited to have a page devoted to all my favorite teams. It only really bothered me a little that I have to get Fighting Irish news alongside my Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, White Sox, and Cubs news. Then football season started and Melissa Isaacson and Jeff Dickerson started bashing my beloved Chicago Bears. Seriously, if you read the comments at the end of their “articles,” you will see I am not alone in this sentiment.
After a rousing win over the Packers (who have NO running game), I decided to check the Power Rankings for week 4 of this 2010 NFL season.
Much to my amazement, the 2-1 Green Bay Packers are “Power Ranked” above the Chicago Bears team that just beat them. Let’s take a look at what these so called experts had to say.
The Steelers looked mighty good and with Big Ben back after next week, #1 seems reasonable… for now.
The Saints couldn’t work their voodoo against Matty Ice and the Falcons, but they’re still formidable without Reggie Bush.
The Colts are looking like true contenders for the AFC title.
Then ESPN lists the 2-1 Green Bay Packers (2-1) (0-1 in conference) at number 4.
Ranking the Falcons at #5 might be an insult to the Falcons organization as they just de-throwned the Kings of N’awlins in their home gumbo pot.
And then there’s the 3-0 Chicago Bears at number 6. Number 6?! One of only 3 undefeated teams and the only undefeated team in the NFC? The team that beat Dallas in their house and the Packers back to back? The team that is 2-0 in the NFC North? Number six? What are these guys drinking?
J-E-T-S at number seven? Are we watching the same games?
My Week 4 Power Rankings -
#1 Steelers
#2 Bears
#3 Jets
#4 Falcons
#5 Saints
#6 Patriots
See you next week from the New Meadowlands sports fans.

Hey man, look, there is no bigger Bears fan than me. I also think that they are getting bashed. You will see I am not alone in this sentiment.
