“Hannah Storm in a horrifying, horrifying outfit today,” Kornheiser said. “She’s got on red go-go boots and a catholic school plaid skirt … way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s by now. CLICK HERE TO READ ON
[poll id="8"]“She’s got on her typically very, very tight shirt. She looks like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body … I know she’s very good, and I’m not supposed to be critical of ESPN people, so I won’t … but Hannah Storm … come on now! Stop! What are you doing?”
Now I am not a big fan of Kornheiser, in fact I was the first person rooting for them to pull him from ESPN’s Monday Night Football lineup. This however was comedy gold in the vain of Don Rickles and Lenny Bruce. It was only deemed insulting because it hit a little too close to home for Hannah. She is in fact 47.
So after kicking Tony Kornheiser off of Monday Night Football, ESPN has now given him a two-week vacation from his syndicated show, Padron the Interruption. His apology was almost as funny as his comment. Kornheiser opened his radio show the next day by apologizing, saying, “I apologize, unequivocally … I’m a sarcastic, subversive guy … I’m a troll, look at me. I have no right to insult what anybody looks like or what anybody wears. That, I think, should go without saying.”
Kornheiser announced the suspension on his Washington D.C. radio show Tuesday morning, calling his remarks about Storm intemperate and stupid.
In a written release Tuesday, ESPN called Kornheiser’s comments inappropriate. “Hurtful and personal comments such as these are not acceptable and have significant consequences,” said John Skipper, ESPN’s vice president for content. “Tony has been suspended from PTI for two weeks. Hannah is a respected colleague who has been an integral part of the success of our morning SportsCenter.”
I’m a troll, look at me. I have no right to insult what anybody looks like or what anybody wears. That, I think, should go without saying.
Oh come on, it was hilarious! I think it’s almost as funny as Storm’s crush on college football superstar Tim Tebow. Look at the both blushing. What are we going to see next? Hannah Storm nude photos leaked to the internet?
