Brent’s Deli 2 – The Mustard Gets Thicker

So my wife goes into Brent’s Deli yesterday (knowing full-well how I feel about that place) for lunch with her mom.  She was told she couldn’t be seated until her entire party was present.  She asked when that had changed because she’d never heard that before.  The hostess rudely told her that she’d just have to wait until her whole party was there.  My wife told the girl that she even knew what her mom was going to order but she made her wait anyway.  What fantastic customer service.  I will admit to having  a sandwich brought to me at work, but only because someone else was buying.   I’m not giving that Peskin family any more money.   Another customer service FAIL.

So I was a fan of Brent’s until…Friday March 5, 2010, @ 9:04 PM. In CA for business after a few years away, and my Mom asked for one thing some cornbeef and rye from Brent’s deli. Being the good son I was in the valley after dinner and decided to drive over they must be open until at least ten. Nope they closed at 9 PM and I arrived at 9:04 PM. They would not let me BUY a pound of cornbeed and rye bread with a full restaurant still eating just minutes after their close time. They did not care I had come in from AZ and that this was the one thing my Mom asked for. So no more Brent’s for me! Customer service sucks! Oh, and the waitress trying to sugarcoat it with her pet names was vomitous.
